Time Information Services: Past, Present and Future.

1st February 2009: After more than 15 years in the development and licensing of data synchronisation solutions, Time Information Services has now sold and assigned all of the Intellectual Property Rights in the resultant technology. From the 1st of January 2009, for a period of two years, we will be unable to provide any further software or services in the field of data synchronisation.

Since the formation of our parent company in 1993 we have had the pleasure (and associated stress) of working with the world's foremost mobile device manufactures. TimeIS software now supports over 400 different mobile devices, in more than 30 languages, and has been licensed to hundreds of millions of end users.

Over the last couple of years it became clear that the software had reached a level of maturity that would require little new development and could, therefore, be maintained suitably by an external party. With this in mind, it made sense to transfer the IPR and to look for new challenges for the talented TimeIS software development team.

Following a period of technology transfer, we will start to explore and investigate new software development opportunities. Given our experience, it is likely that the focus of this exploration will remain in the field of mobile device software, but the main goal is to identify an exciting challenge that will truly test our development skills.
